General Construction (Field)
About the role
As a General Construction – Field team member at Z-Modular a division of Zekelman Industries, San Tan Valley, AZ, you will support onsite modular installation, finishing, and construction activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in an outdoor field environment, and is committed to safety, quality craftsmanship, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold safe work practices in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Aid with modular installation, assembly, and finishing work at active construction sites.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
- Load, unload, and transport materials to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsite conditions.
- Communicate material shortages or jobsite concerns to supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project completion.
Requirements
- Construction or field experience preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
- Experience using common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
Physical Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights and on ladders as required.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in an outdoor construction environment.
