General/Colorectal Surgery APC

About the role

Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our colorectal surgery team in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities

• Prior surgical and first assist experience preferred but not required; early career providers welcome.
• Weekly mix of clinic and OR time.
• Opportunity and expectation for training.
• Hospital rounding including some weekend days and inpatient consults.
• Average of 10-12 patients per day in clinic.

Requirements

• New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license (for NP) or licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners (for PA).
• Federal and state DEA license.
• ANCC certification (NP) or CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant (PA).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA).
• Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required.
