General Cleaner Preventative Maintenance
About the role
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces as required, including:
- Flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs, and assembling bed frames
- Vacuuming behind and underneath furniture
- Spot cleaning carpets and upholstery
- Dusting
- Touch-up painting
- Troubleshooting and repairing grout and caulking
- Maintaining and repairing guest rooms in accordance with property guidelines
- Performing miscellaneous minor repairs like tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls
- General cleaning of guestroom surfaces including tub, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, and mirrors
Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.

- Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing more than 50 pounds
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
Licenses or Certifications: None.
Qualifications
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
Follow all company policies and procedures, maintain a clean and professional appearance, and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Skills
Ability to perform physical tasks requiring overhead, below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, standing, sitting, and walking.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
