General Cleaner Macys Fayette Mall Lexington 6 days/week 7am-12noon

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitizing/Spot Cleaning: Use a germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces, clean toilets, check and refill soap and paper dispensers.
• Trash Can Management: Empty and clean trash cans, including refilling liners.
• Floor Dusting/Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum rooms, paying special attention to under furniture and near doors.
• Grounds Care: Clean sidewalks, flower beds, and curb lines; empty ash urns and trash cans; spot clean spills and remove gum.
• Food Court: Clean tables, sanitize, stack clean trays, and empty trash cans.
• Floor Sanitizing: Use a germicidal solution to sanitize floors, paying special attention to under furniture and behind doors.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, answer questions courteously, and report issues to supervisor.
• Other Duties: Perform tasks such as floor care, carpet extraction, and floor buffing as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Physical requirements: walking, standing, sitting, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, grasping, fingering, overhead reaching, sight, depth perception, hand-eye coordination.
