ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitizing / Spot Cleaning: Use a germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and check soap and paper dispensers, empty trash cans, and clean toilets.
• Bathroom Cleaning (continued): Wipe down above and below sinks, toilet seats, and bowls.
• Bathroom Cleaning (continued): Clean the inside of the toilet bowl with a Johnnie Mop and proper solution.
• Bathroom Cleaning (continued): Check and refill soap and paper dispensers daily.
• Bathroom Cleaning (continued): Empty and clean trash cans, removing liners and disposing of waste.
• Floor Dusting or Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum rooms, paying special attention to under furniture and behind doors.
• Floors Sanitizing: Use a germicidal solution to sanitize floors, mopping under furniture and behind doors.
• Outside Areas: Empty and clean ash urns and trash cans, police sidewalks, flower beds, and curb line for trash and cigarette butts.
• Outside Areas (continued): Spot clean spills on sidewalks, remove gum with a scraper, and clean vending machines and benches.
• Outside Areas (continued): Clean public area glass, check for cobwebs, and high dust window areas at least twice a week.
• Food Court: Clean and sanitize tables, remove trash, empty and clean trash cans, and stack clean trays.
• Food Court (continued): Police outside eating areas, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock lightly on doors before entering, be friendly and courteous, answer questions, and report issues to supervisor.
• Work Quietly: Speak quietly and stay in assigned work area unless directed otherwise.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks including walking, standing, sitting, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, fingering, and overhead reaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain physical condition suitable for assigned duties.
