About the role

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) is the largest privately held provider of facility services in North America, servicing over 2 billion square feet of space daily. They have immediate full‑time, permanent openings for a Warehouse Janitorial Associate/Cleaning Crew Member at 2160 Hartford Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919. The role involves maintaining clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning restrooms, break areas (indoor/outdoor), office areas
• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, removing trash
• Ensuring all walkways are clean and tidy at all times
• Cleaning totes and other items
• Performing some deep cleaning as needed
• Following all safety and quality standards
• Performing other basic janitorial duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move totes up to 49 pounds
• Walking in and around the facility with great frequency throughout the entire shift
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10‑12 hours
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and chemical handling documents (generally in English; may be in Spanish where state required)
• Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual tasks (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
• Must download and use the KBSPresence mobile timekeeping app on a personal device to clock in/out, record attendance, complete required training, and receive employment‑related information

Schedule

Work schedule varies; days and nights, including weekends. Available shifts:

• 5 am – 4 pm
• 6 am – 5 pm
• 5:00 pm – 4:00 am
• 6:00 pm – 5:00 am

Pay

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour (range $17.00–$18.00 per hour). Progressive pay increases are available at select sites: $0.50 increase after the first 90 days and an additional $0.30 increase after 180 days of employment.
