About the Role

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah invites applications for a full-time board-certified, or board eligible, non-invasive General Cardiologist with an interest in academic practice. This faculty position offers the opportunity to join a leading academic medical center with a strong cardiology program. The selected candidate will engage in clinical care, teaching, research, and other scholarly activities within a collaborative and supportive academic environment.

Position Details

This role involves joining a highly collaborative team of fourteen general cardiologists and fourteen advanced practice clinicians (NP/PA), and educating eighteen ACGME Cardiovascular Disease Fellows, in addition to five sub-specialty fellowships with twelve fellows enrolled. The ideal candidate will pursue a well-rounded academic career that integrates clinical care, teaching, and research.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology services
  • Participate in rotations in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology
  • Engage in specialized programs such as advanced imaging, cardio-oncology, and pulmonary hypertension
  • Mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Participate in clinical research and other scholarly activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
  • Board-certified or willing to sit for Adult Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography
  • Board-certified or willing to sit for Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah
