Job Summary
The General Assistant position at Hobbycraft, located in Glasgow, is a 16-hour per week role closing in {x} days.
Responsibilities
- Brand ambassador – passionate about the Hobbycraft brand and embracing change positively
- Teamwork – build great working relationships with the team and treat individuals fairly and respectfully
- Customer Service – deliver outstanding customer service, putting the customer at the heart of everything
- Change – recognize and approach change positively and proactively
- Policies and Procedures – comply with all Company policies and Health and Safety Regulations
- Shop Floor – deliver excellent standards and know what good looks like
- Cash Handling – operate the till and handle cash, credit/debit cards, and gift cards transactions accurately
- Click and Collect – assist with the Click and Collect process
- Stock Control – be vigilant to help minimize stock loss and follow tagging processes
- Workshops – host various workshops as required
Requirements
- Experience in retail (or similar)
- A confident communicator with outstanding customer service skills
- A passion for craft
- Selling skills are advantageous
- Stock replenishment
- Cash handling
- Comfortable operating within guidelines and policies
- Able to work at pace and with accuracy
- High standards
- Adaptability
- Brand ambassador

- Able to work confidently on your own or as part of a team
- Able to demonstrate a craft to a high standard (desirable)
