General Assembler - 1st Shift (onsite)

About the Role

Join Collins Aerospace Mission Systems, where we craft intelligent solutions for commercial, business, space, and military/defense aviation. This position is part of our Operations team, focused on managing innovative products from inception to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and disassembly operations to modify, repair, rework, retrofit, upgrade, and assemble cables, mechanical, electronic, microelectronic, and high-resolution assemblies/subassemblies using operation instruction sheets, blueprints, process sheets, samples, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Utilize jigs, fixtures, soldering irons, and other hand/power tools; operate departmental machines and equipment as required.
• Receive, dispense, and move materials, subassemblies, and assemblies as directed.
• Verify workmanship and product quality standards for specific assembly operations.
• Collect data and prepare/maintain records using written or electronic media.
• Handle, store, use, and dispose of hazardous waste chemicals in compliance with safety protocols.
• Lift and/or handle heavy parts, materials, or equipment up to 28 lbs.
• Complete required training courses as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D. in the U.S.).
• U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility).
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Schedule

1st shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
