General Area Mechanic

Chemours is seeking a General Area Mechanic to join our team at the Washington Works Plant in Parkersburg, WV. Our products enable advancements in clean energy, advanced electronics, high-performance computing, climate-friendly cooling, and high-quality paints and coatings.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment within manufacturer’s specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Follow all prescribed safety and environmental practices to prevent injuries, incidents, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot process equipment such as pumps and piping, including preventative maintenance.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent, plus at least one of the following:
  • Minimum 5 years of documented industrial maintenance experience in mechanical maintenance, or
  • Minimum 2 years of documented industrial maintenance experience plus one of the following:
    • Associate degree
    • Public or military technical training school
    • NCCER certification
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to perform all duties listed, with or without accommodation.
