About the role
The Pathfinder Network (TPN) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1993 that provides support and services to individuals and families affected by the justice system. TPN serves over 3,000 people annually through a variety of programs, including cognitive behavioral-based courses and holistic wraparound support.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group peer support services to justice system-involved individuals.
- Wrap-around support to peers with services, referrals, resources, and assist in removing barriers to recovery and resilience.
- Transport clients, as necessary, to appointments and services.
- Facilitate classes and support groups using standardized curriculum and delivery model.
- Engage in shared leadership and continuous growth and learning.
Requirements
- Lived experience with addiction and recovery and criminal justice involvement.
- Certification or eligibility to be certified as a Certified Recovery Mentor, Peer Support Specialist or Traditional Health Worker.
- Released from prison/jail and completed all forms of community supervision no less than 3 years ago.
- Minimum of 2 years recovery from substance use dependence.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle during work hours that is covered by adequate car insurance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to gain access to correctional facilities.
- Pass a criminal history background check, employment verification, and drug screen.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience delivering peer support services.
- Awareness of Trauma-Informed practices and approaches.
- Experience working with mental health and substance abuse treatment agencies.
- Experience facilitating groups.
- Basic level computer capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
This is a non-exempt, full-time position. The hiring range for this position is $23.33 - $24.03 per hour, DOE.
Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Typical days of work are Monday through Friday, depending on shift assignments. Shifts may include afternoon and evening hours.
