Gen Interpreter (Southeast Togo - Gbe Language)

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is a company dedicated to breaking down language and cultural barriers. We employ interpreters to help limited-English speakers, the Deaf, and the Hard-of-Hearing communicate effectively. This role allows you to work remotely from your home.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate interpretations of conversations between Gen and English speakers.
• Adapt to various industries, including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law.
• Ensure confidentiality and respect cultural differences.
• Provide support during emotionally challenging calls.
• Follow client instructions and maintain high standards of service.

Requirements

• Fluency in Gen and English.
• Cultural competency and understanding of regional accents.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive topics and remain neutral.
• Education or experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Adaptable to LLS technology enhancements.
• At least 18 years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write Gen and English.

Qualifications

• Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship.
• Preferably educated or experienced in language-related fields.
• Ability to operate necessary devices and software.
• Access to a quiet workspace.

Pay

$1.25 - $1.40 per minute.

This is a remote position where you work from your home-office. A quiet and secure environment is essential.
