Member Duties
The Audiology Aide will help increase, expand, and/or enhance health programs and services by helping patients and/or clients along in the intake process, model mental health coping skills and strategies needed for resiliency, while actively listening for indicators that the patient/client needs access to mental health resources and discreetly providing those resources to the patient.
The audiology program at Idaho State University offers coursework at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Duties may include:
- Assisting Certified Health Professionals approved by the ISU Audiology Department, with hearing testing, speech pathology, communication studies, in relation to communication sciences and disorders.
- Provide health education and mental health resources to children and families.
