Responsibilities

• Receive technical learning opportunities, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
• Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
• Experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as Systems, Analysis, Design, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test.
• Perform design and analysis of product lines, develop models, solve problems, conduct research, and collaborate with the team and other organizations.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in one of the following engineering disciplines: Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Controls Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree-seeking graduation years: May or December 2028 OR May or December 2029.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work in Wilmington, NC.
• Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.
• This position requires access to and/or use of information subject to control under U.S. Export Control Laws. Therefore, the applicant must be authorized to access such information under these laws.

Qualifications

• Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
• Demonstrated initiative.
• Demonstrated desire to advance nuclear power generation.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Pay

The pay for this position ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 weekly based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.

• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
• Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns receive a weekly housing allowance to help offset living expenses when the permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
