GDIT is interviewing a full range of Cloud Technology professionals to assist our federal government customers with major cloud transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Support migrations to the cloud or between cloud platforms.
  • Design and deploy multi-cloud environments on Microsoft Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, and Google Cloud platforms.
  • Build and manage compute, storage, networking, identity, and governance components.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security, Zero Trust, and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, DevSecOps, security, and application teams to align infrastructure with CI/CD and security best practices.
  • Write PowerShell/CLI scripts and use Terraform, ARM/Bicep templates for infrastructure as code.
  • Work with Kubernetes and PowerShell.
  • Perform Cloud FinOps and administer cloud platforms.
  • Monitor and optimize platforms, establish logging and alerting, and optimize cost, performance, and rightsizing.

Requirements

Experience in one or more of the following technical areas:

  • Cloud Migration Core Competencies:
    • Environment discovery, app dependency mapping, and readiness assessments.
    • Landing zone setup, identity integration, network foundations.
    • Migration execution: rehost, replatform, refactor, containerize.
    • Data and database migration, cutover planning, and modernization support.
  • Amazon Web Services:
    • Application Migration Service (MGN), DMS, Snowball, Storage Gateway.
    • EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53.
    • S3, IAM, Organizations, Control Tower.
    • ECS, EKS, Lambda for modernization paths.
    • CloudFormation and Terraform for IaC.
    • CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray.
  • Microsoft Azure:
    • Azure Migrate (server, data, app migration).
    • Azure Compute, Scale Sets, App Services.
    • VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Application Gateway.
    • Data Box, Database Migration Service.
    • Entra ID, Policy, Blueprints.
    • AKS, Functions, Container Apps.
    • ARM/Bicep, Terraform.
    • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
  • Google Cloud:
    • GCE, GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud Functions, Deployment Manager/Terraform.
    • Migrate for Compute Engine, Migrate to Containers.
    • GCE, MIGs, Cloud Run.
    • VPC, Interconnect, Cloud VPN.
    • Transfer Appliance, Database Migration Service.
    • IAM, BeyondCorp Zero Trust.
    • Deployment Manager, Terraform.
  • Oracle Cloud:
    • OCI Compute, Networking, IAM, Object Storage, Functions.
    • Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM), Database Migration Service.
    • OCI Compute, Functions, Load Balancers.
    • VCN, DRG, FastConnect.
    • Object Storage, Block Volume replication.
    • OCI Resource Manager (Terraform).

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • US citizenship is not required.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation for Public Trust suitability.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $96,569 - $130,651. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.

  • Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
  • Travel required: Less than 10%.
  • Telecommuting options: Remote work from any location.
  • Start date: As early as August 2026.
