GCM Transaction Manager I - Public Finance

Position may be based in Dallas, TX or Minneapolis, MN.

Overview

Assists with negotiating transaction deal documents and facilitates deal closings in a timely manner for Global Capital Markets (GCM) clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in negotiating and closing transactions in which Wilmington Trust serves as Trustee capacity, as well as other complementary roles and products.
• Assist more senior personnel on negotiating deal documents and facilitating deal closings.
• Develop deal manager skills to facilitate deal closings under limited supervision.
• Escalate client issues to more experienced personnel and ensure they are prioritized appropriately.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
• Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities

This position works on a team of individual contributors under direct management supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret legal contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45.09 - $75.15 hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
