Online Learning Development
Maintain and update existing distributed learning modules.
Convert and modify online training content for Joint Knowledge Online (JKO).
Develop new online training modules.
- Ensure compatibility with: JKO LMS, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome.
- Develop approximately: 15 student contact hours of updated online content annually.
- Develop approximately: 10 student contact hours of new online content annually.
Curriculum Development
Update, revise, and develop materials for three 40-hour resident courses annually.
- Create and maintain: Student guides, Instructor guides, Lesson plans, Visual aids, Graphics, PowerPoint presentations, Posters, Checklists, Other instructional materials.
Assessment Development
Develop and revise test questions.
Improve learning assessments and check-on-learning methodologies.
Ensure testing aligns with learning objectives.
Curriculum Support
- Participate in curriculum review meetings.
- Recommend improvements to curriculum materials and delivery methods.
- Organize and maintain all curriculum files and products.
- Support instructor-led and self-paced learning solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge & Experience:
- Adult Learning Theories.
- Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies.
- E-learning technologies.
- Bloom's Revised Taxonomy.
- Curriculum development and revision.
- Learning management systems (LMS).
- Virtual learning environments.
- Preferred Knowledge:
- Military Handbook (MIL-HDBK) 29612 series.
- Military training and education standards.
- Digital media and instructional technology strategies.
- Technical Skills:
- Courseware development.
- Multimedia integration.
- Content management.
- Instructional design tools.
- Browser compatibility testing.
- Educational content formatting and design.
Deliverables Ownership
The Curriculum Developer Will Be Responsible For Producing Executable distributed learning modules.
Student guides.
Instructor guides.
Training aids and support materials.
Travel Requirements
- Must be available for: CONUS travel, OCONUS travel.
- Passport required.
- Travel constitutes approximately 30% of workload.
Location
Primary duty location: Joint Deployment Training Center (JDTC), Fort Eustis, Virginia.
