About the Role

Setup and operate a fin press and/or a mechanical expander per instructions from a Group Leader to produce fins or complete coils of acceptable quality.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate a fin press for various fins per inch and corrugation
  • Setup and operate an expander for various coil widths, lengths, depths, and designs
  • Coil assembly
  • Recognize malfunctions of equipment versus improper setup when products do not agree with drawings
  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Use various measuring instruments
  • Assist in training personnel as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical demands: Set up fin press (twisting & turning) 25%, operate fin press (standing) 50%, and remove fins from machine (bending & stooping) 25%.
