About the role
Have strong knowledge of processes, prints, and procedures, including basic hands-on proficiency in the Coil Build area and other coil manufacturing disciplines and equipment. Assist less experienced operators in setting up and troubleshooting problems. Execute schedule requirements and promote safety in manufacturing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up equipment, identify and locate required tooling, and ensure all work is correct.
- Make arithmetic calculations, read blueprints, understand bills of material, and use measuring devices.
- Use equipment in the assigned area, such as impact guns, pop-rivet guns, and other related tools.
- Pull parts for the next order, set up sheet metal, install fins, and lace tubes per the drawing.
- Correct tool wear and report issues.
- Make basic adjustments to equipment to keep the process in control.
- Assist in personnel training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to make mathematical calculations and comprehend decimals.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints.
- Capability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
- Majority of the position requires standing and walking; bending and stooping are also required.
- Ability to multitask to keep processes progressing.
- Mental and visual alertness, along with self-motivation.
- Flexibility to work any hours required.
