Responsibilities
- Read and interpret gauge assembly schematics
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and safe work area
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Assemble and calibrate gauge components to manufacturer specifications
- Measure, mark, or scribe reference points on workpieces as guides
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment as required
- Operate manual assembly tools as needed
Qualifications
- HS Education or GED Equivalent (a plus)
- Assembly degree preferred
- Up to 1 year industry experience
Skills & Abilities
- A clear understanding of assembly safety
- Demonstrates proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Basic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required)
- Basic oral & written communication skills
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals efficiently and vice versa
- Demonstrated “can do” attitude
Positional Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds for 100 feet
- Able to bend, stoop, walk, and climb stairs
- Able to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Able to pass periodic medical evaluations and respirator fit tests to ensure continued compliance with OSHA standards
- Able to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
- Able to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another
- Able to communicate with others to exchange information
- Able to repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Able to operate machinery and/or power tools
- Able to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
