ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs and maintains appropriate Measurement System Analysis.
- Responsible for gauge calibration support for off-shift hours on an "on call" basis.
- Maintains and ensures the calibration of the gauge inventory.
- Performs gauge lab activities in order to support production and engineering research.
- Confers with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Origins product/process and containment/improvement documentation, such as corrective action forms, change request reviews, etc.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the Quality, Materials, and Safety & Environmental systems.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Performs daily CMM checks for production validation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and functional knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, layout inspections, and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations.

Education and Experience
- EDUCATION: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and functional knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, layout inspections, and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations.
Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
