About the Role
Handle all aspects of warehouse operation, including Air/Ocean Export, Gateway, and Domestic shipments transport while adhering to company, branch, and governmental guidelines and policies. This role reports to the Warehouse Lead, Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, or District Manager.
Responsibilities
- Operations:
- Adhere to company policies and federal regulations, particularly warehouse and container security policies.
- Follow Operational Process Standards and aim to pass OPS audits while servicing customers.
- Comply with and exceed OPS expectations, including:
- Re-weigh all freight and ensure it is not cross-labelled.
- Stage freight in correct locations.
- Repair damaged freight as soon as possible.
- Count and reconcile all received freight to inbound documentation.
- Note exceptions (over, short, or damaged) on receiving documents, take pictures, and notify proper parties for OSD shipments.
- Ensure Dangerous Goods shipments are handled only by trained employees and meet minimum receiving requirements.
- Unload cargo from trucks and verify freight against receipt documentation or booked information.
- Check cargo for OSD (overage, shortage, or damage).
- Verify truck’s wheels are chocked and brakes are applied.
- Use documents to confirm freight is at the correct address and notify the local product leader upon arrival.
- Monitor and report overage, short, and damaged freight.
- Communication:
- Escalate issues to supervisors or managers through weekly or daily meetings as needed.
- Meet all deadlines and communicate any delays.
- Answer telephones when required.

- Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and strive to exceed client expectations.
- Proactively resolve service issues or address root causes with corrective actions.

- Maintain a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and expectations.
- Security:
- Ensure warehouse doors are closed and locked at all times.
- Monitor the warehouse for individuals not wearing proper ID or safety vests.
- Keep all drivers within the designated waiting area and ensure they have signed in.
- Comply with local security requirements during truck check-in.
- For US/Air Product only: Stage freight from unknown shippers in a designated area.
- Productivity:
- Consistently achieve corporate productivity goals, including on-time freight build and load.
- Minimize and properly record overtime, using it only as a last resort to service customers.
- Seek ways to improve efficiency through better processes, automation, or best practices from other offices.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including emptying trash cans daily.

Requirements
- Global logistics industry knowledge.
