About the role

We are seeking an experienced server to join our team at Gatehouse, a lively yet laid-back eatery located in the historic Navy Yard of Philadelphia. Our restaurant features a large outdoor patio and beer garden, offering a unique dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-volume, professional service.
• Master our food and beverage menus to provide expert recommendations and pairings.
• Accurately execute orders and process payments through our POS system (Toast experience preferred) in a fast-paced setting.
• Anticipate guest needs during peak hours, ensuring tables are cleared and drinks are refilled without delay.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the bar and kitchen teams to maintain efficient service flow.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization across the beer garden and indoor dining areas.

Requirements

• 2+ years of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant or busy sports bar environment.
• Strong knowledge of craft beers, cocktails, and spirits.
• Proven ability to multitask and remain poised under pressure.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
• Exceptional communication skills and a team-first mentality.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and remain in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours per day).
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
