Job Summary
Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Division of Gastroenterology, seeks a full-time Gastroenterology Section Chief to lead the GI Division at Riverside University Health System.
About the Role
The GI Section Chief will oversee Endoscopy services, outpatient and inpatient clinical activities, teaching, and research. They will collaborate with the Head of GI at Loma Linda University Health to achieve the University's goals and mission.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and management of the GI Division
- Collaboration with Head of GI at Loma Linda University Health
- Balance of clinical duties including inpatient coverage with outpatient endoscopy and clinic
- Weekly protected time for career and leadership development
- Involvement in teaching fellows, residents, and students
- Support for clinical and population-based research
- Active participation in interventional gastroenterology procedures
Requirements
- Experience in General GI
- Passion for caring for the underserved
- Strong administrative skills for potential leadership positions
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Successful completion of an accredited fellowship program

Pay
$475,000 - $550,000 base compensation, with additional potential for leadership positions.
Schedule
No commute is needed as clinic, endoscopy, and offices are all located on site. Weekly protected time during outpatient weeks is set aside for career and leadership development.
