Gastroenterology Physician

About the Role

This position is for a gastroenterologist providing inpatient coverage during a holiday period in South Georgia. The role involves conducting hospital rounds, managing emergency consultations, and performing essential procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD/Upper scopes, enteroscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy. ERCP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hospital rounds and manage inpatient care
• Handle emergency consultations
• Perform procedures including colonoscopy, EGD/Upper scopes, enteroscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Work 24-hour shifts with weekend call duties
• Manage a patient load of 5-10 adult patients daily

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in gastroenterology

Work Environment
