Gastroenterology Physician
About the role
The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville is seeking a full-time General Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join a busy practice of 9 Gastroenterologists in a collegial atmosphere. The role involves 7 days on/7 days off hospital-based inpatient gastroenterology work with inpatient consults and procedures only. The position is accompanied by a second gastroenterologist and 3 GI APPs who round from Monday through Friday, with one GI APP rounding each weekend (1/2 day Saturday and Sunday).
Responsibilities
- Average 10-15 new consults and 4-8 procedures per day.
- EUS/ERCP welcomed but not required.
- EUS and ERCP coverage provided by three advanced endoscopy colleagues.
- Anesthesia supported endoscopy unit with a dedicated inpatient endoscopy suite.
Requirements
Interested candidates should be Board Certified/Board Eligible (BE/BC).
