About the role

Archbold in Thomasville, Georgia is seeking an Advanced Gastroenterologist and Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join an established, hospital-employed GI service. We offer a state-of-the-art endoscopy unit with anesthesia for all cases. We have excellent experienced APP support for both IP and OP. Flexible Schedule: Hospitalist model 7 on 7 off.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex endoscopic procedures including POEM, ESD, EUS/Arietta, ERCP
• Utilize the latest technology in large procedure rooms and a new Omega state-of-the-art fluoroscopy room
• Collaborate with a medical staff of more than 200 qualified specialists
• Teach opportunities available via relationships with multiple medical schools and residency programs
• Participate in a full-service homecare network including hospice, home health, home medical equipment and infusion and pharmacy services
• Engage in clinical research and participate in clinical trials

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology
• Experience in hospitalist model preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team player

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• License to practice medicine in the state of Georgia
• Current DEA license

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
