Gastroenterology Physician

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the inaugural 2027 Gastroenterology Fellowship Program at AdventHealth Tampa. This position will be part of the West Florida Division Medical Group and will be responsible for overseeing the educational and clinical aspects of the fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the curriculum for the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program
• Oversee the clinical training and supervision of fellows
• Collaborate with other fellowship programs and departments to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of fellows
• Ensure compliance with ACGME standards and accreditation requirements

Requirements

• Board certified in Gastroenterology
• Experience in teaching and mentoring residents and fellows
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an accredited ACGME Gastroenterology residency program
• ACGME faculty experience required
