Gastroenterology Hospitalist

About the role

The Gastroenterology Hospitalist position at CHI Health Clinic in Omaha, Nebraska, is an academic and clinical role within the Gastroenterology department. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient and procedural services for gastrointestinal diseases, working closely with learners, residents, and fellows from the Gastroenterology fellowship program at Creighton University School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and procedural services for gastrointestinal diseases
• Work with learners, residents, and fellows from the Gastroenterology fellowship program at Creighton University School of Medicine
• Take new inpatient consults, inpatient rounds on GI service, and perform inpatient endoscopy
• Participate in a dedicated scope schedule
• Primary location will be Creighton University Medical Center Bergan (CUMC Bergan campus) on weekdays
• Contribute to the Gastroenterology Fellowship program at Creighton University
• Participate in Grand Rounds if desired; receive academic appointment commensurate with experience
• Access to an extensive, established specialty and primary care network

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology
• Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska
• DEA Certification
• BLS certification
