Gastroenterology GME Program Director

Job Summary

HCA Healthcare East Florida is seeking an experienced and dynamic physician leader to head their Gastroenterology Residency program at HCA Florida Westside Hospital as Program Director. The Program Director will oversee the operations of the program, in compliance with ACGME and ABMS regulations and requirements.

Requirements

• Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Gastroenterology
• Licensed to practice medicine in Florida
• Credentialed at the facilities of his/her clinical engagement
• At least three [3] years of clinical experience in an academic/teaching environment
• Demonstrated involvement in medical education leadership and active involvement in research and scholarship over the past 5 years
• Experience as Program Director, APD, or Core Faculty with leadership involvement is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer a high-quality curriculum for residents and faculty
• Evaluate and mentor residents and other learners
• Evaluate and develop program faculty
• Evaluate and mentor program faculty
• Evaluate and mentor residents and other learners
• Engage with hospital leadership and the community
• Oversee resident recruitment efforts
• Compile reports and maintain accurate and timely communication
• Create and maintain program policies and procedures
