Gastroenterology (APP)
About the role
Joining GI physicians and APPs, this full-time, hospital employed position offers standard weekday clinic hours with some rounding and shared call coverage. Average 18-20 clinic patients and 5-10 hospital patients per day. Paracentesis experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Treatment of gastroenterology patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Assessment and management of gastrointestinal disorders
- Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans
- Participation in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Experience in gastroenterology preferred but not required
- Strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Master's degree in PA or NP program
- Completion of relevant certification exams
- Passing scores on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) or National Certification Exam for Nurse Practitioners (NCLEX-PN)
