About the role

Employed gastroenterology practice in Southwest Louisiana seeking a BE/BC gastroenterologist to join a team of 3 gastroenterologists and 4 advanced practice providers. This is a replacement opportunity for a relocating physician. The practice offers Monday‑Friday schedule with half‑day clinic and half‑day procedures, 1:4 call, and physicians work in 3‑4 exam rooms supported by an APP. CRNA anesthesia team is available with oversight by anesthesiologists. The location is conveniently situated between Houston and New Orleans, offering outdoor recreation, good schools, and a lower cost of living.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including ERCP and EUS (both required).
• Provide outpatient clinic care and procedural services on a half‑day clinic / half‑day procedure model.
• Participate in 1:4 call rotation.
• Collaborate with 3 GI physicians and 4 APPs in a team‑based environment.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology.
• Completion of an accredited gastroenterology fellowship.

Skills

• Proficiency with ERCP and EUS.
• Experience using Olympus endoscopic equipment.
• Ability to work effectively with CRNA anesthesia team and anesthesiologist oversight.
