Gastroenterologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services, including managing up to 16 procedures daily. Perform general gastroenterology interventions with conscious sedation and handle advanced cases such as ERCP and EUS with anesthesia support.

Evaluate patients, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain thorough documentation for both routine and complex gastrointestinal conditions. Provide call coverage during weeknights and weekends with a focus on adult patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage up to 16 procedures daily
• Perform general gastroenterology interventions with conscious sedation
• Handle advanced cases such as ERCP and EUS with anesthesia support
• Evaluate patients and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain thorough documentation for routine and complex gastrointestinal conditions
• Provide call coverage during weeknights and weekends
• Deliver quality care on-site in a facility equipped for advanced procedures
• Work with nursing and administrative support

Requirements

• Board certification in gastroenterology
• Ability to perform both general and advanced endoscopic procedures
• Experience managing diverse gastrointestinal conditions
