Gastroenterologist - Locum Coverage

About the role

This role is for a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist (MD) providing inpatient and outpatient services in a comprehensive gastroenterology service environment with modern equipment, dedicated support staff, and a diverse patient population in a vibrant region with recreational and cultural activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 15 outpatient clinic patients daily.
• Perform approximately 10 endoscopic procedures under conscious sedation during scoping days.
• Provide inpatient coverage during designated call weeks, including weeknight and weekend call duties.
• Work primarily in a clinic setting from 8AM to 5PM, with no rounding or ED coverage outside call periods.
• Utilize anesthesiologist support for procedures.

Requirements

• Board certification in gastroenterology.
• Experience managing general gastroenterology cases.
• Ability to perform endoscopic procedures.
• Willingness to participate in call duties.
