About the role
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is seeking BC/BE Gastroenterologists to join their team. This full-time role is based at Froedtert/MCW and The Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Responsibilities
- Perform colonoscopies, endoscopies, EGDs, and various other diagnostic procedures in collaboration with anesthesiology services.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary care model that includes coordination with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, hepatologists, and other specialists.
- Contribute to specialized programs such as the Dysphagia Institute, Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program, Pancreaticobiliary Center, and Hepatitis Treatment Program.
- Engage in research and clinical trials, often supported by NIH and industry collaborations.
- Lead and shape GI care and research nationally and internationally through the division's fellowship program.
- Provide personalized treatment plans that combine lifestyle, nutrition, and medical/surgical strategies tailored to the individual patient.
- Implement preventive care and public education initiatives to improve long-term outcomes.
Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
- A medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification (or eligibility) in Gastroenterology.
- A valid state medical license, or eligibility to obtain one in the state of Wisconsin.
Qualifications
