About the role

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is seeking BC/BE Gastroenterologists to join their team. This full-time role is based at Froedtert/MCW and The Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

  • Perform colonoscopies, endoscopies, EGDs, and various other diagnostic procedures in collaboration with anesthesiology services.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary care model that includes coordination with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, hepatologists, and other specialists.
  • Contribute to specialized programs such as the Dysphagia Institute, Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program, Pancreaticobiliary Center, and Hepatitis Treatment Program.
  • Engage in research and clinical trials, often supported by NIH and industry collaborations.
  • Lead and shape GI care and research nationally and internationally through the division's fellowship program.
  • Provide personalized treatment plans that combine lifestyle, nutrition, and medical/surgical strategies tailored to the individual patient.
  • Implement preventive care and public education initiatives to improve long-term outcomes.

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

  • A medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification (or eligibility) in Gastroenterology.
  • A valid state medical license, or eligibility to obtain one in the state of Wisconsin.

Qualifications
