About the Role
Mercy Clinic Gastroenterology is seeking a BC/BE gastroenterologist to join a thriving, well-established GI program located on the campus of Mercy Hospital Springfield, Missouri—an 880-bed Level I trauma center serving as the region’s premier referral hub. This is a hospital-employed position within a physician-led group that prioritizes fairness, efficiency, and long-term stability. Physicians maintain a strong collective voice in operational decisions and equity across the practice.
- System-wide EPIC EMR
- Established referral pipeline from a large multispecialty network
- On-campus clinic + endoscopy center for seamless workflow
- Efficient endoscopy unit with reliable access and protected block time
- Opportunity for advanced procedures such as RFA, capsule endoscopy, BRAVO, Manometry, ERCP, EUS, and TIF
- Equally shared call and endoscopy time—no senior hierarchy
Responsibilities
- Provide gastroenterology care in both clinic and endoscopy settings
- Perform advanced procedures including RFA, capsule endoscopy, BRAVO, Manometry, ERCP, EUS, and TIF
- Participate in a 1:8 call rotation supported by a strong cross-coverage culture and APP support
Compensation & Benefits
- $750k guarantee with a $100k bonus
- No cap on earnings with upper-quartile to top-decile potential
