Gas Utilityman Jryman or Gas Utilityman Apprentice

About the role

Ameren Illinois provides electric transmission and distribution service and natural gas distribution service. Every day, we deliver electricity to 1.2 million electric and 816,000 natural gas customers in central and southern Illinois. We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must obtain and retain a valid driver's license and a CDL
• Must have completed Gas Apprenticeship
• Must live within 25 miles of the service center (candidates willing to move within 25 miles at their own expense will be considered)

Apprentice requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CAST test
• Gas Evaluations
• Behavioral Interview
• DOT physical, drug screen, driver qualifications
• Must be able to obtain CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and must become respirator qualified
• Must be able to work with the public, and be readily available for shift work and overtime

Preferred experience

• Welding
• Pipefitting
• HVAC
• Excavating Equipment Operation

Pay

Hourly Pay: Grade Step EA 096 Step 1 of 1 (Top Step) - 43.00 USD. Position is eligible for annual incentive payments based on company performance and subject to sole management discretion.
