Gas Utility Foreman

About the role

New England Utility Constructors Inc. (NEUCO) has been providing underground utility construction solutions to New England since 1972. Known for safety, quality, and excellence, NEUCO specializes in pipeline and natural gas distribution construction. The Utility Construction Foreman position involves planning and coordinating equipment and crews, coaching and training, and supporting the crew.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate equipment and crews from start to finish ensuring resources are in place and the job is completed safely and on time
• Coach and train on proper use and process to ensure safety and quality of work
• Oversee Dig Safe marking and coordinate any issues with utilities
• Support the crew by operating equipment, pipefitting, and laboring to exhibit teamwork
• Accurately complete paperwork, reports, and status updates on time
• Analyze and resolve work problems
• Maintain all industry required Operator Qualifications
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year prior experience in gas utility industry
• 1+ year prior experience reading plans/blueprints to ensure projects meet all building/code requirements
• 1+ year prior experience leading others

Qualifications

• Fluent in English
• Valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Hold/obtain DOT medical card
