Gas Utility Foreman

About the role

As a Gas Utility Foreman, you will manage job sites, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. You will coach your crew on proper use and processes to maintain safety and quality, oversee Dig Safe marking, and support the crew by operating equipment and performing labor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment and crews from start to finish
• Coach on proper use and process to ensure safety and quality of work
• Oversee Dig Safe marking and coordinate any issues with utilities
• Support the crew by operating equipment, pipefitting, and laboring
• Complete paperwork, reports, and status updates
• Resolve work problems
• Maintain all industry required Operator Qualifications
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• 2+ years prior experience in gas utility industry

Pay

$38-$42/Hr.

Schedule

Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice.

Work Environment

• Outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
• Join and maintain Union membership
