About the role
As a Gas Turbine Mechanic, you are demonstrating strong technical capabilities and hands-on expertise in the overhaul and repair of gas turbine units. You are utilizing mechanical aptitude to interpret complex assembly drawings and perform precise measurements. You are working collaboratively under time-sensitive conditions to complete inspection, repair, and assembly tasks. You are supporting on-site activities when required and contributing to safety and quality excellence across all operations.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrating familiarity with hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tooling.
- Accurately utilizing precision measuring equipment such as ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges, and calipers.
- Applying strong mechanical aptitude to independently understand and interpret complex machining and assembly drawings.
- Working as a team member to follow detailed work routers for the inspection and repair of turbine units and rotating equipment under tight timelines.
- Providing on-site support as needed based on operational requirements.
- Adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards throughout all maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following platforms: GE10, PGT10/PGT25, Frame 3, or Frame 5.
- Flexibility to work both 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and the ability to follow and update safety policies and procedures.
- Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Schedule
This position is full-time on-site at the Houston – Aldine Westfield location. Candidates must be flexible to work either shift:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
