Gas Survey Technician - KC

Responsibilities

• Survey natural gas pipelines
• Drive AMLD vehicle for leak detection
• Travel to various locations across the country
• Work shifts including days, nights, and weekends as needed
• Perform traditional gas leak surveys
• Train in traditional gas leak survey techniques
• Drive survey vehicle for up to 4 hours straight at 15 mph between breaks

Requirements

• Pass Operator Qualification training and testing
• Flexible to travel up to 75% of the time, including weekends
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions
• Adhere to safety and quality policies and procedures
• Physically capable of sitting, driving, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day
• Ability to carry a minimum of 20 lbs. of equipment
• Excellent communication skills, especially with customers
• Available for overtime, including weekends
• Comfortable using computers and technology

Qualifications

• Technically inclined and able to troubleshoot technology as needed
• Comfortable driving for extended periods of time
• Ability to walk 5 or more miles per day
• Experience with surveying natural gas pipelines

Pay

• $21.00 per hour starting rate
• .50 cents increase after 60 and 180 days
• $1.00 increase when driving nights
• $40.00 daily per diem for meals and approved expenses when traveling
• $2.00 hourly travel stipend when staying in hotels
