Gas Survey Technician - KC

Responsibilities

• Survey natural gas pipelines
• Drive AMLD vehicle for leak detection
• Travel to various locations across the country
• Work shifts including days, nights, and weekends as needed
• Perform traditional gas leak surveys
• Operate and troubleshoot technology as needed
• Drive survey vehicle for up to 4 hours straight at 15 mph

Requirements

• Successfully complete Operator Qualification training and testing
• Flexible to travel up to 75% of the time, including weekends
• Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot technology
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions
• Adhere to safety and quality policies and procedures
• Available for overtime, which may include weekends

Qualifications

• Ability to sit and drive for 8 hours per day
• Bend, crouch, kneel, and walk several miles per day
• Carry a minimum of 20 lbs. of equipment
• Communicate effectively with customers in a courteous manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Pay

• $21.00 per hour starting pay
• .50 cents increase at 60 and 180 days
• Rate of pay/shift differential increases by $1.00 when driving nights
• $40.00 per diem for meals and approved expenses when traveling
• $2.00 hour travel stipend when staying in hotels
