About the role
Perform technical skilled service work on natural gas infrastructure under general direction. This is a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform service calls, including after-hours on stand-by
- Restore and discontinue natural gas service
- Light customers’ pilots
- Conduct leak investigations inside and outside of customer homes
- Repair leaks on above-ground and below-ground piping operating at pressures up to 60 psi
- Prepare and complete service requests/work orders to document field activities
- Perform monthly and annual maintenance duties on equipment, instruments, and gas piping facilities as required by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s minimum Federal Safety Standards and GUC’s Operations and Maintenance Plan
Requirements
Gas Service Specialist I
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Over one year of experience in gas pipeline and/or service construction
- Safety-oriented
Gas Service Specialist II
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Over three years of experience in gas pipeline and/or service construction
- Safety-oriented
Employment is contingent upon passing a physical examination including a drug/alcohol screening and a comprehensive background check.
Pay
Gas Service Specialist I anticipated hiring range: $50,502.40 – $65,416.00
Gas Service Specialist II anticipated hiring range: $54,516.80 – $70,616.00
Overall salary range: $50,502.40 – $86,715.20 per year
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
