Gas SCADA Engineering Specialist
Wisconsin Gas, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Gas SCADA Engineering Specialist in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with regular time spent in the Pewaukee office.

Responsibilities
- Engineering support for SCADA and process control projects, including pressure monitoring, pressure controls, flow monitoring, flow controls, remote control valves, process control, HMI systems, field device communications, specifications, and programming.
- Analysis and recommendations of design options, SCADA components, preparation of SCADA engineering designs, material and specifications, and cost estimates.
- Review of internal and external construction plans and implementation of construction activities for complex projects.
- Performance of complex engineering designs, engineering calculations, and SCADA system modifications (Senior Engineers).
- Lead Root Cause Analysis activities.
- Application of codes, standards, and regulations to relevant tasks, designs, and projects to ensure compliance with guidelines, best practices, and regulatory authorities (TSA, API, PHMSA, DOT, NFPA, etc.).
- Generation of reports to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Utilization of knowledge of design basis for system responsibilities and interconnected systems to troubleshoot and improve performance.
- Use of performance monitoring/optimization tools, calculations, tests, and engineering analysis to develop recommendations for maintaining and improving plant, system, and/or equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Support for operations and engineering related to process control equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Execution of change management processes for implementing changes in the control system environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical discipline. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical discipline with three years of engineering/project management experience will be accepted.
- This position requires unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets, which includes satisfying all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, including a background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- SCADA experience
- Familiarity with relational databases
- VB and SQL programming knowledge
- Gas distribution knowledge or experience
Pay
Pay Range Minimum: $68,436.68
Pay Range Maximum: $156,125.32
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting. The starting salary within the pay range will be based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
