Gas Measurement Technician
About the role
We’re seeking a Gas Measurement Technician to support field-based gas measurement operations in Artesia, NM.
Responsibilities
- Perform field-based gas measurement activities, including meter inspections, calibration, data collection, and routine maintenance
- Verify meter accuracy and ensure measurement systems are operating in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
- Collect, record, and submit measurement data, field notes, and documentation accurately and on time
- Assist with installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of gas measurement equipment and related instrumentation
- Identify and report measurement discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety concerns
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working condition
- Communicate field findings and work status with supervisors, operations personnel, and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant field-based experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Prior hands-on experience with gas measurement, instrumentation, or related oil and gas field operations
- Working knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations, including AGA, GPA, API, and relevant BLM/COGCC requirements
- Vocational or technical training in metering, instrumentation, or process control preferred
- Experience with EFM/flow computer software (e.g., ROCLINK, PCCU, Test-It) preferred
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, including the ability to use hand tools, operate mechanical equipment, and troubleshoot basic issues
- Basic computer proficiency, including email communication, data entry, and use of mobile and laptop devices
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Schedule & Travel
- Full-time, field-based position following a varying work schedule of 8-16 hours per day
- Flexibility to work overtime, on-call rotation schedule, extended hours, weekends, or holidays as required
- Daily local travel to field locations is required, with occasional overnight travel depending on assignment and workload
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including hot, cold, and/or inclement temperature
