About the role

Performs focused and random independent audits per the Gas Enhanced QA/QC Plan of construction and maintenance activities related to safety, quality, and productivity. Ensures that operating procedures, materials, policies, and procedures are aligned to prevent future gas safety and quality compliance issues. Interfaces with the construction workforce, public, and regulatory agencies as required. Prepares and communicates reports for various activities in the department. Participates in team meetings to review findings and corrective actions. Provides mentorship and guidance to junior inspectors.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently on assigned activities.
  • Lead or hand off the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with Inspectors, Supervisors, Managers, and Contractors, reporting on the status of findings and corrective action plans.
  • Track trends and make further recommendations on the Enhanced QA/QC Plan.
  • Interface and support Operations, Gas Supply, and Regulatory Affairs to achieve relevant company goals.
  • Provide inspection and audit services across multiple Operating Companies.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Follow up and follow through with action items and dependencies.
  • Work across organizational lines within the company.
  • Flexible and willing to take on tasks beyond the job description as required.
  • Manage competing priorities.
  • Mentor and guide junior inspectors.
  • Implement strategy for E-QAQC Team inspection methodology.
  • Manage audits, reports, data, and other tasks as needed for the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of gas distribution & operations experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Operator Qualifications relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated expert understanding of gas utility operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Expert knowledge of Gas Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance standards.
  • Advanced comprehension of regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Gas Industry Certifications preferred.
  • Advanced Gas Certifications.

Pay

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $96,400 – $120,500.
