GAS BAR SALES CLERK

About the role

The Canco Serpent River First Nation Gas & Convenience is seeking reliable and mature individual(s) to join our customer service team.

Responsibilities

• Process payments via cash, charge, debit, and credit transactions.
• Maintain accountability for all sales transactions conducted during shifts.
• Restock shelves and create product displays to optimize inventory flow and presentation.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the store interior, displays, exterior walkways, and fuel pumps.
• Possess the necessary knowledge to effectively endorse and promote all programs and promotions managed by SRFN Limited Partnership and Canco fuel programs
• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages promptly.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and utilize new systems implemented to support supervisorial duties.
• Capable of lifting a maximum of 30 lbs.
• Able to function effectively in a medium-to-fast-paced environment
• Able Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn the Point-of-Sale (PoS) system and be accountable for rectifying any financial errors that may occur.
• Availability to work weekends is required.
• Prior sales experience is considered an asset; training on our specific systems will be provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, make sound decisions, and troubleshoot issues.
• Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, and the Infonet POS program).
• Must provide a Criminal Record Check (CPIC) free of any theft-related offenses, issued by the Ontario Provincial Police.
