Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our passengers
- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle maintenance and repair
- Repair and inspect brake systems
- Perform engine diagnostics, tune-ups, and repairs
- Repair suspension, steering, drivetrain, and transmission components
- Complete preventative maintenance (PM) services
- Perform annual inspections and safety inspections
- Accurately complete work orders and maintenance documentation
- Assist with mobile emergency repair services when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of diesel or automotive maintenance and repair experience, or equivalent combination of technical school education and hands-on experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment (company-paid training provided)
- Possession of a mechanic's tool set required
- Strong computer skills
- Willingness to participate in the ASE certification program
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced maintenance environment
Qualifications
- Heavy-duty diesel repair experience
- School bus, fleet, truck, or commercial vehicle maintenance experience
- ASE certifications
- Air brake and electrical diagnostic experience
