Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically welcome guests into the restaurant.
- Share knowledge and recommendations of the food & beverage menus to guests.
- Utilize freedom to go beyond and take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
- Create memorable experiences with a welcoming personality by genuinely relating to guests and team members.
- Communicate with the culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, special dietary needs, and any other special guest requests.
- Multi-task with an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Take orders, deliver drinks, and process payments.
- Stock and organize inventory at server stations and behind the bar.
- Assist bartenders with additional tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
- Motivated, self-starting personality.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of serving experience in a similar restaurant environment.
- Open Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences that align with FORBES standards.
- Knowledge of Menu: Ability to memorize and describe menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Physical Stamina: Able to stand for extended periods, carry heavy trays, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Excellent multitasking, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of cocktail recipes, types of alcohol, and common alternatives for customers with allergies or special requests.
- Experience with POS and credit card systems.
- Cash handling skills.
- Flexibility.
Qualifications (continued)
- Experience. Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
- Previous experience passionately providing food and beverage service to others preferred.
- Knowledge. Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications are required.
- Familiarity with restaurant terminology and food service techniques is preferred.
- People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected.
- Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing.
