Gardener I - Gardens - Reserve

Responsibilities

• Assists with operations to include weeding, mowing, clean up and maintenance, watering, and pest control.
• Helps with special projects and events as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Previous experience with the installation, maintenance, and care of annuals, perennials, and shrubs.
• Comfortable with basic plant identification.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Good judgment and commitment to providing world class guest service.
• Ability to operate small gardening equipment and machinery safely.
• Become WPS certified within 10 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license and at least 19 years of age.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, reach below and overhead.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding as needed.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather with fluctuations in temperature and conditions.
• Ability to work safely with and around pesticides and other chemicals.
